All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

 

All people are born equal and should treat each other with respect.

 

The American Declaration is an example of this concept, with the phrase "all men are created equal."

Rights should not differ because of a person’s country of origin.

 

In the UAE, they have faced issues with open discrimination based on nationality, a prime example of a violation of Article 2.

Slavery is a violation of human rights and shall not be allowed.

 

Slavery still persists today all over the world, most commonly as a form of human trafficking.

You have the right to live with freedom and safety.

 

Many genocides, the most flagrant violation of the Article, have occured in the last century, most recently the Srebrenica Massacre.

Article 4
No one shall be held in slavery or servitude; slavery and the slave trade shall be prohibited in all their forms.
Article 3
Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person.

Articles 1-6

 

The Universal Declaration of Human Rights has 30 articles. They are intended to provide a baseline or guide for basic human rights. All people are entitled to the rights listed in the UDHR.

Article 2
Furthermore, no distinction shall be made on the basis of the political, jurisdictional or international status of the country or territory to which a person belongs, whether it be independent, trust, non-self-governing or under any other limitation of sovereignty.
Article 5

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

Torture is a violation of your rights.

 

There is evidence that the United States has recently practiced torture, but the prohibition against torture is "firmly embedded in international law."

Article 6

Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law.

All people should be recognized as such before the law.
